The “End of Life” for Windows Server 2003 is almost here. Microsoft announced some time ago that July 14, 2015 will be the final date for support of the aging server operating system. After July 14, 2015 Microsoft will no longer be releasing upgrades, security updates, system patches, or any other support related items. This also means that Windows Server 2003 will no longer meet compliance for PCI, HIPAA, and other mandated security policies. Even if your business is not required to comply with a mandated security standard it would still go against general “best practice” security recommendations to continue to use Windows Server 2003 in your network environment.
If you are reading this and realize your network environment is still running on Windows Server 2003 you might be thinking to yourself “Now what?”. You don’t have to worry. Our staff of experienced tech’s has been doing Windows Server migrations for years. Let’s take a look at what Microdome can do to make the transition easier.
- Evaluate your existing infrastructure and design a Migration Plan to get your environment updated and supported.
- Work with your IT staff to implement a Migration Plan or if you do not have an IT staff our tech’s can handle each and every part of the Migration Plan for you from beginning to end.
- Once the migration has been fully deployed we also offer service contracts to help keep your infrastructure up to date, supported, and compliant.
As an experienced IT service company Microdome is here to make technology easier for you. We know that you have a business to run and our top priority is to keep it that way.
